The following prayer can be found in Celtic Daily Prayer, a publication by the Northumbria Community. They suggest using this prayer during the evenings of Advent. If you are using this with two or more people the * indicates a change in reader while the text appearing in bold type indicates lines spoken in unison. *God of the watching ones,
give us Your benediction.

give us Your good word for our souls.
