where is your garden?

We dug up tree roots
to repair the cracked sewer line.

The planter that was built of thick railroad ties
was twisted into angles
(like modern art)
by the workmen.
.
The hole was filled
with too much dry gravel
then covered in
soil and shredded paper,
hoping seed will stick.

So far, nothing.
This is our new creation.

Where is Your garden?
In my mind’s eye
and my soul’s heart
where no sidewalks break nature
and The Ox ploughs fields of beauty

where the hungry find rest.

Where is Your Garden?
