How God Loves

The love I have for you

goes deeper than skin to skin.

I have given you my heart

and there is nothing that means more to me

than that you have freely given me yours.

You are never far from my thoughts;

you are the apple of my eye.

When the colors of nature

catch your breath,

I stop in wonder with you.

When you don’t know which way to turn,

I am right by your side

so you can always turn towards me—

I will hold you,

go where you go,

lay beside you when you need rest,

lend you courage when you feel weak.

There is no one like you.

You don’t need to prove yourself to me.

I cherish every part of you.
