yesterday’s snowflakes
were God’s “Yes” to my question,
his quest to allay
my unrest.
they were the wonder
of my son
and the hunger
of my soul,
the start
of a new season,
heart
instead of mere reason.
yesterday’s snowflakes
were bright and large
like the whites of
his eyes,
omniscient sight,
uncaught and uncatchable.
such are my hopes.
